Bring real democracy to the frontier. Run elections in your town with a period-style parchment ballot. Each vote is signed in the voter's own hand and counted live in front of the whole county.

📜 THE BALLOT

• Period-style parchment ballot UI with hand-lettered fonts

• Players pick a candidate and sign the ballot. Their character's name appears as a handwritten signature

• One vote per character per race, enforced in the database

• After signing, the voter sees the running tally

• The tally updates live for everyone viewing the ballot as new votes come in

• Players can come back to the polling point any time to check the count

⚖️ ELECTION OFFICIALS

• Election staff are gated by job and run everything from an in-game menu (vorp_menu). No database editing needed

• Create as many races as you like at once, such as Mayor of Valentine or Sheriff of Rhodes

• Add and remove candidates on the fly

• Set a polling point by standing where you want it

• Open, close or reopen voting with one click

• Delete a race and all its votes go with it

📍 POLLING POINTS

• In-world marker at each active race's polling point

• Walk up and press E to open the ballot

• Points appear and disappear for every player instantly when races open or close

🔒 SECURE

• All votes are validated on the server: the race must be active, the candidate must belong to that race, and duplicate votes are rejected

• Admin actions are checked against the player's job on the server, not the client

⚙️ CONFIGURABLE

• Open config file: job name, admin command, interact distance, marker model/colour/scale, keybinds

• Every text string is in the config, so translating is easy

• Ballot UI is plain HTML, so you can change the county name, colours and wording

• Fonts are bundled locally, with no CDN or internet dependency (works in RedM's offline NUI)

🛠️ INSTALLATION

1. Drop lf_election into your resources folder

2. Run the included install.sql

3. Add "ensure lf_election" to your server.cfg

4. Set your election job in config.lua, and you're ready to vote
